What are asymmetric arms?
Asymmetric arms both swing to the rear when not in use. The front arm is shorter than the rear arm. With asymmetric arms the front arms are positioned at a 90 degree angle to the lift and allow the vehicle to be positioned with most of the vehicle weight shifted to the rear of the lift. Approximately 30% in front of the column and 70% behind it. See the diagram below to see how they operate.
